Welcome to our newly redesigned website. We hope this new website will enhance your relationship with James Ernst Accounting. Our client portal is a new feature we now offer. Here is a description of the features you will be able to access through the portal. If you would like to join the client portal click on the register here link on the bottom of this page. There you will be able to sign in by giving us your email and name. Once your account is verified we will send you a welcome email. You will then be able to sign on and access all of the new features.
Secure File Exchange
After you have logged into your client portal account on our web page (using your login name and password), the first item that you will see on your screen will be the Secure File Exchange. This provides a secure and convenient way to transfer files between you and our firm. Mailing documents can be expensive and slow, and emailing can be difficult when sending large documents. However, through our Secure File Exchange you no longer have to worry about the size of the document (it is virtually unlimited) or its cost (it is free and immediate). You are also able to upload a variety of different documents such as, but not limited to, Word documents, Excel spreadsheets, MS Access database files, Photo Shop files, and Adobe Acrobat files. With the Secure File Exchange you receive your own drop box (a confidential, secure folder within our system), which only you, and the firm member you share the document with, have access to. You upload a document the same way you would in an email, by browsing your PC and choosing a document. Please feel free to upload a test document to see how the service works.
Another great service we now provide is an online Tax Organizer. This Tax Organizer allows you to communicate with us online in the privacy and comfort of your own home when trying to organize your tax data. Through this organizer you can see what information you need to complete, such as basic tax questions (e.g., your name and SSN).You can edit this data at any time and it will be automatically updated for our accountants to access. This service provides you with the opportunity to update your tax information at your leisure; you may even work on the information throughout the year as opposed to working on it all at once. This is a safe way for you and our accountants to stay updated with your information without you having to come into the office.
The last item you will see on this page is the Financial Calculators. This item provides you with a list of over 50 financial calculators. Some examples of these calculators include: Mortgage Pay Off, Credit Card Pay Off, Auto Loans, 1040 Tax Calculator, and a Student Budget Calculator.
